Gyrotonic is a soft and resultful method that reconnects our bodies and comprehends the ways our bodies work. The principles are derived from yoga, tai chi, dance and swimming: an experience that places a decent premium on rotation and spiral motion. Juliu Horvath as the founder invented a system of equipment and movement that can stretch and strengthen muscles and ligaments at the same time.
What keeps it uniquely effective is that it not only opens energy pathways as a whole, but also energizes the nervous system and improves the sphere of activity, strength and locomotor efficiency.
The equipment used in Gyrotonic class consists of a tower with straps attached to adjustable weights, and connected to a wheeled movable weight bench. The rotating wheels support you to perform a battery of arches and curls that placidly flexes and extends your spine meanwhile stretches your chest and shoulders. No worries, the weight-and-pulley-circuit provides good resistance and supports your legs, arms, and hands movements by the straps.
